Ferdowsi and Providing a THeoretical Background for Rising the Authority of Premiership in Medieval Iran(5-9 AH/11-15 AD Centuries)

| Without a proper theoretical background, it was difficult for the ministration (Vezarat) to reach the peak of its power in Seljuk era. Such theoretical efforts have been made since the beginning of the fourth century AH and simultaneously as the revitalization of the ministration. Ferdowsi was one of the thinkers who made efforts regarding this subject. The purpose of this study is to answer the question: How the Ferdowsi’s efforts were employed to provide an appropriate theoretical background for maximizing the authority of the ministration? In his Shahnameh, especially in its historical part, Ferdowsi introduced the Vezir as the main character of this section, due to the lack of the wise kings in mythical era. By introducing Bozorgmehr as the sage/vezir, he made him a symbol of the ministration, which could be used as a theoretical background for this institution. |
