Abstract:   (9 Views)
The Fatimid Caliphate (297–567 AH) is considered one of the most brilliant periods of Islamic civilization, culture, and art, especially in the field of textiles. In this era, with purposeful and organized planning, various types of court fabrics, official robes, royal garments, and government documents were produced, and the textile quickly achieved a high status as an ideal platform for displaying political power and religious beliefs. The present study examines the structure, content, and symbolic function of government inscriptions engraved on textile textiles with an analytical-historical approach. The results show that the artists of the royal textile workshops, relying on technical skills and utilizing religious themes, transformed the textile space into an effective medium for promoting Islam and Shiite culture. Together, these elements created a dynamic interaction between religion, politics, and beauty, and established a lasting and meaningful balance between theological and political order.
Keywords: style, government inscription, Fatimid Caliphate, religious propaganda, textile art, religious ideology.
