fa تحول اصطلاح ساراسن و کاربست آن در میان اروپاییان تا پایان سده سیزده میلادی تخصصي تاریخ اسلام Islamic History پژوهشي Research <span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:b nazanin;"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;">آشنایی و رویارویی دیرینه مسلمانان و مسیحیان مجموعه‌ای از اصطلاحات را در منابع تاریخی فراهم آورد که برخی از آن‌ها نه تنها بار سیاسی بلکه مجموعه‌ای از مفاهیم فرهنگی را نیز به دنبال داشت. در میان این مجموعه، ساراسن یکی از قدیم‌ترین اصطلاحاتی است که مسیحیان اروپایی برای معرفی عرب‌ها به کار می‌بستند. این اصطلاح کهن پس از ظهور اسلام، به عموم مسلمانان اطلاق شد و در ذیل آن تصویری مخدوش از اسلام، بخصوص شخص نبی اعظم‌(ص) ارائه شد و معانی منفی وسیعی را به ذهن متبادر کرد. این تغییر کاربری اصطلاح ساراسن از عرب به مسلمان چند پرسش اساسی را به ذهن متبادر می‌کند: نخست آن که ریشه اصطلاح ساراسن چیست؟ دیگر اینکه تطور</span></span></span> <span dir="RTL"><span style="font-family:b nazanin;"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;">این اصطلاح در میان اروپائیان چگونه بوده است؟ پاسخ این پرسش&shy;ها تنها با بررسی منابع و جستار این اصطلاح در ردیه‌های مسیحیان بر پایه توصیف دقیق و تحلیل داده‌ها مبتنی است.&nbsp;</span></span></span> <strong>:</strong> Long-held familiarity and interaction between Muslims and Christians led to the development of a collection of terms and concepts in historical sources; some of which are both politically and culturally loaded. Within this collection, Saracen is one of the most ancient terms used by the European Christians for introducing the Arabs. However, after the emergence of Islam, the application of this term was expanded to all Muslims; which often conveyed a distorted image of Islam, in general, and the Prophet (peace be upon him), in particular and has of negative connotations. This change of use of the notion of Saracen from the Arabs to Muslims raises a number of questions: First, what is the root of the term Saracen? And second, how did the evolution of the term among Europeans take place?
