	<title>The Rhetorical Representation of Qasim b. Hasan’s Martyrdom in Historical Sources and Texts of ta’ziyah: a Comparative Survey</title>

	<abstract>There is a particular accent on the role of youngsters - such as Qasim b. Hasan- as an important and perceptible dramatic aspect of &amp;lsquo;Ashūra. This dramatic character of narrations of the event is mostly transparent in those parts which appropriated to the kids and adolescents&amp;rsquo; presence in this catastrophe. But, in some cases it resulted in a thorough gap between the historical reality and people&amp;rsquo;s comprehension of its narration. This paper aims to advance an analytical survey of the reflection of Qāsim b. Hasan&amp;rsquo;s martyrdom in Persian &lt;em&gt;Ta&amp;rsquo;ziyah&lt;/em&gt; texts down to 5&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; century. The author following a comparative approach selects a bunch of post-revolution &lt;em&gt;Ta&amp;rsquo;ziyah&lt;/em&gt; texts as his source base for this study. The results show that in this case, historical texts differ clearly with those of &lt;em&gt;Ta&amp;rsquo;ziyah &lt;/em&gt;and these distinctions are pivotal to our understanding of the course of events.&lt;br&gt;
